Beef Stroganoff


Ingredients

  • Beef Stock - 250 mls
  • Beef, Diced - 500 grams
  • Brown Onions - 1 or 2
  • Corn Flour - 2 Tablespoons
  • Mushrooms - 250 grams
  • Parsely - 1/3rd of a cup
  • Sour Cream - 250 mls
  • White Rice - 2 Cups

Starting the Rice:

Start the rice cooking so that it is ready at the same time the stroganoff is. For a microwave, cook the 2 cups of rice with around 3 cups of water in a bowl for around 12 minutes. Stir once every 5 minutes.

Prepare Ingredients:

Dice the onions, and start cooking them with the beef until they start to go brown. Roughly chop the mushrooms and add these in the cook down a little once the meat starts to go brown.

Cook:

Once the meat is cooked through, add the liquid beef stock and sour cream. Stir in well, and add in the cornflour. The cornflour will thicken the whole mixture into a thicker consistancy. Stir well, and add the parsely, salt and pepper to taste. You may also like to add a small amount of chilli powder to create a spicier taste.

Serve:

Let simmer for a few minutes until it starts to turn into a nice thick sauce, and then serve over rice.
