Linguine Carbonara


  • Bacon - 4 Rashers
  • Cream, Thickened - 350mls
  • Linguine Pasta - 1/2 Packet
  • Mushrooms - 10-12
  • Onion - 1

Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the onion, and chop the bacon into 1cm squares (trim off the fat as you go). With the mushrooms, be generous and cut them into thick chunks.

Start Cooking

Start a saucepan of boiling water for your pasta, you can add your pasta almost straight away, as this recipe is extremely quick.

Start by frying off the onion and bacon in a pan, once cooked through, add your mushrooms along with a small knob of butter. Cook the mushrooms through a little, and then add the cream. Because the bacon will naturally add salt to the recipe, just add a generous amount of cracked black pepper to the mix.

Add the Pasta

This might seem a little different, but drain your pasta once it's ready, and simply add the whole lot into the mushroom mixture, mix it around a little, and serve while still hot!
